Lighthouse Quilters - Kids Sewing

This class is currently full - watch the calendar for other sewing classes.  The Children's Department will offer a monthly quilting program for ages 7-12. Children will sew blocks that will then be joined together to make a quilt. We will be using a strip quilting technique that creates a diamonds and stripes pattern with many colors. They are so fun! Class will either meet on Mondays or Thursdays, and because we're using strips of fabric, it's okay if kids have to miss a class occasionally. Parents should be aware that: - This is a year-long project - please only sign up if you can commit to attendance over that period of time.  - The Library will provide the white accent fabric. Families will be responsible for either: purchasing a fabric pack of different colored fabrics (more info after registration) or possibly using scrap fabric from our quilting volunteers.
